I've thought of trying something similar but haven't gotten around to it. it was a little difficult getting it to look good around the curves, but since it was a Tele they wernt that hard. How was the quality of the parts? Hardware is actually really nice, holds a tune very well, electronics were fine, i cut off the "solderless quick connect" tabs and soldered them properly though.
