Members Coverdale
Seller says it's american...I don't know anything about Jacksons...
Members sabrecat
I am by no means an expert ( I dont even own a Jackson personally ) so take this for what its worth ( IE almost nothing ), but it looks like a Dinky with a coil tap ( At least I assume thats what the smaller toggle switch is). Will the seller send you a picture with the serial # visible ?
Members peavey_impact
I'm pretty sure it would say Jackson USA on the headstock if it was a USA model. That one doesn't.

Members Coverdale
Yeah, I looked up a few Jacksons and I was thinking the same. It's kind of a trend right now. I found another seller around here with a Washburn KC (one of the lower ones) claiming it's 100% american
Members Vantango84
I had one almost exactly like that, except mine had covered pups. Mine was called a JS30
Members Nephilim-777
I'm pretty sure it would say Jackson USA on the headstock if it was a USA model. That one doesn't. +1. Its an import and probably a LFR too. US models have OFR on them.

Members yabba
yep, looks like a js30 to me too. (which is kinda bottom of the line as far as jacksons go)
Members gimme411
As far as Jacksons go, this is cheap POS. Avoid it.

Members cratz2
Yeah, that one is too new to have been made in America and NOT say Made in USA on the front of the headstock. The original Jacksons didn't all say Made In USA, but this one obviously is far from an early 80s model. And I'm not 100% sure, but most of the Professionals I've seen say Professional on the front of the headstock even if it doesn't say Made In Japan. And the big giveaway is if you have an American Jackson, you'd show the serial number. My guess is it's neither American nor Japanese. If it's more than $200, or $300 at the VERY most, I'd pass. Members savethegibbons
Indian, I believe. I had a JS1 that was very similar. Wasn't a huge fan of it, maybe mine was a dud but it felt pretty cheap and didn't play wonderfully, although servicable for sure. This however was the REALLY cheap lowest of the line one, dunno how good the higher end indian ones will be. http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/illusiveduality/OldGuitarCrap/photo?authkey=Tf5jojXLTrg#5186603231066726818 Modern (as in, past decade) MIJ Jacksons don't necessarily have the professional logo on the headstock though. That was the older ones as I recall. My 2000 DK2 doesn't certainly. http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/illusiveduality/GuitarGear/photo#5070910531449068162 (Headstock)http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/illusiveduality/GuitarGear/photo#5070909599441164914

Members ESchmidt
Thats definetly Made in India. I have a KX10 Kelly and the hardware and pickups look exactly the same. Its a good guitar though. My Kelly has sharkfin inlays though.
Members cratz2
Out of morbid curiosity, what was the seller asking for it?
Members RaVenCAD
That was one of the first of Jackson's cheap ass imports.. The guitars that took Jackson from KILLER to dead in the water.. Buy it and burn it, or steal it and burn it.. Long as it ends up in ashes, the world is better off..
