I am by no means an expert ( I dont even own a Jackson personally ) so take this for what its worth ( IE almost nothing ), but it looks like a Dinky with a coil tap ( At least I assume thats what the smaller toggle switch is).

Will the seller send you a picture with the serial # visible ?

Yeah, that one is too new to have been made in America and NOT say Made in USA on the front of the headstock. The original Jacksons didn't all say Made In USA, but this one obviously is far from an early 80s model.

And I'm not 100% sure, but most of the Professionals I've seen say Professional on the front of the headstock even if it doesn't say Made In Japan.

And the big giveaway is if you have an American Jackson, you'd show the serial number.

My guess is it's neither American nor Japanese. If it's more than $200, or $300 at the VERY most, I'd pass.

Indian, I believe. I had a JS1 that was very similar. Wasn't a huge fan of it, maybe mine was a dud but it felt pretty cheap and didn't play wonderfully, although servicable for sure. This however was the REALLY cheap lowest of the line one, dunno how good the higher end indian ones will be.

Modern (as in, past decade) MIJ Jacksons don't necessarily have the professional logo on the headstock though. That was the older ones as I recall. My 2000 DK2 doesn't certainly.
