Members slodge
My question is about the neck sizes and shapes on various teles. I liked the feel of the Nashville Tele, which according to Fender is a C shape. The Std MIM felt chunkier to me. I haven't been able to find a Baja Tele (which Fender says has a V neck) to try out yet. Anybody care to school me on what the differences are on the MIM teles? Also, I was looking at the Xaviere XV-820, which is listed on the site as a C neck. Would that be the same as the Nashville? If this topic has been covered before, please forgive me! But more importantly, educate me!
Members headless
There is a neat little guitar shop, about 3000 miles away from you, called Rockit Music, Brea, CA, that has a display from Fender. This display has example necks, with the various shapes/sizes, that you can hold and get a fell for (the necks are not on guitars, so you can't play them). I imagine that if you check around with Fender dealers who handle Custom Shop orders, you might find they have the same display.
Members magnido45
interesting inquiry...I am used to playing a 60's slim neck profile on my Les Paul...do any of the telecasters come equipped with a similar type of neck..? the ones I've played at Guitar Center seem to be closer to a 50's type of profile...I guess that's the C-shaped neck?
