Members titovanburen
I haven't read the whole thread, but since I own one, I wanted to put in my two cents: mine is a 2005 and it's two piece, but hard to tell. It's beautifully put together, and I bought it new from Guitar Center on Memorial Day for $750. I think some of the earlier Classics were actually one piece. They are kinda hard to find now, and some are maybe even three piece. My two cents is that when gibson (or any company) finds a product that is a hit and sells well, they begin to gradually cut costs on it and watch profits go up even more. But you are still looking at a great playing, great sounding Gibson for under a grand............................a little below the "cork sniffing radar"................. The Classic was never aimed at the "beautiful wood" market. It's a budget Gibson that kicks ass....................
Members titovanburen
hell yeah , and the finish! not one of those thick poly finishes I love mine, it's my number one, the only problem I have with it is the switch sometimes fails... but I use it a lot...
