I don't have a casino, but I play bigsby's. You just need to maintain the bridge and nut well to have good tuning stability. Make sure the slots are filed right, and throw a little graphite in there. Also turning the spring so the end of the spring wire is facing away from the bridge will help reduce creaking and clicking sounds.

Congrats. casino's with bigsbys are sweet guitars.

Thanks! Anyone else have any experience with these beasties? Mine is scheduled to arrive at the end of October. I don't know if I would rather have an Elitist without the Bigsby, or the MIC Bigsby model. I'll have 30 days to make up my mind, I guess.

Cheers,

Glenn

The bigsby holds tune really well. I guess it's all in the set-up. I actually just gigged with it over the weekend and I used it for 8 songs out of a ten song set without having to retune it. Mine creaks a little bit but I wasn't aware of the this "turning the spring so the end of the spring wire is facing away from the bridge will help reduce creaking and clicking sounds" and It's not audible through my amp. It's a great guitar.

That looks absolutely gorgeous!
How old is it? MIC, or MIK?

Cheers,

Glenn

I agree. That is one fine looking instrument. Bigsbys tend to perform really well on this type of guitar (in terms of tuning stability) because of the less severe break angle over the bridge. Much better than that type of trem on a les paul sized instrument in my experience.
