Members tarunark
Can somebody explain to me why the title is different on some renditions of the song. Also, I've seen the words "slight return" in discriptions. Whats that all about?
Members Burningleaves
How about the third one....VooDoo Chili ......
Members Burningleaves
Both are on Electric LadyLand. One is slower and in more of a traditional Blues type framework and the "slight return" is an up-tempo number that was more of a Power Blues-Rock deal. Together they form one big story. Members BASSDAD
People , It's more than spelling and somantics. Voodoo Chile and Voodoo Child (a SLIGHT RETURN) are 2 separate songs off Electricladyland. 2 different songs!!! Basicaly the same themed tune/groove with different vibes. But distInct tracks on the CD. Vodoo Chile is a 15 minutes bluesier jam. The "slight " return is about 5 minutes or so. Slight Return is the one that is most often played on the radio, etc. The famous wah intro butchered by many with their first wah. It's the one covered by many including SRV. Members BASSDAD
I think that was long established in this thread. Not from my first read through. Still seemed kinda hazy. I probably missed something. Wouldn't have taken the effort otherwise:) But hey BOTH are great songs and some inspirational guitar playing.
