Members Wyatt
No. Too many changes in S1 switching to be handled by a simple DPDT push-pull. Fender uses a small PCB to make all the changes needed with one pull of the switch. It also uses a a double wafer 5-way to allow for two sets of isolated poles. Looking at mrBrown49's schematic the S1 pot uses a 4PDT switch at the pot, that's a pretty proprietary part.
Members mrbrown49
Thanks for the extra info wyatt. I was trying to make sense of the pic I posted, looks damn complicated. It's def a cool idea, but I've heard far too many issues with their reliability to really consider getting a guitar that has one. I prefer stuff I can easily fix myself with standard parts. A parallel/series switch is all I could ever see being useful.

Members mrbrown49
^ That's pretty cool, but I would miss the quick switching between the standard five positions.
