Members HaloJem
Ok, I'm going to open this up to you all for some suggestions on a Humbucker set for my Les Paul Custom. I've exhausted my outboard EQ options to add more low & low-mid to the sound. Frankly, with new strings and attenuating the Tone knob - its frighteningly mid-y & highs. In my other axes I've run DiMarzio ToneZone & Evolution p/u and been happy with the results. However, I'm trying to look in areas that I've left untapped. I know EMGs sound boss through my rig (the Zakk set is in my Jackson RR3 & OLP Tin Top). There is bottom end for days like a KrisppyKreme Addicts Retreat... but I do not want to route the body of the LP & want some semblance of traditional tone in there. Thanks in advance, Amigos! Members jelloman
the duncan JB/jazz combo is the tried and true set for the LP. warm and balanced with enuff output to drive the amp hard but clean up when you roll the volume down.
