Members tlbonehead
I recently ordered a hagstrom viking reissue (should be here soon) and I'm thinking about up grading the pickups. I'm just looking for something that's going to compliment it. What are considered THE quintessential semi-hollow pickups? I was also thinking about putting in some P-90's something like seymour duncan phat cats or maybe some pure 90's... What don't you like about the stock pickups? Members tlbonehead
Another for the GFS Mean 90s; I love how they sound in my Washburn HB-30. I'd definitely choose them over the Phat Cats.
Members ashasha
Gibson 57 Classics Best sounding pickups out there IMHO for vintage type flavor. Just so rich and complex and dynamic. They aren't harsh or muddy like a lot of other pickups, but they sound round and sing like crazy. I can't believe how good they sound everytime I pick up my Dot. Members Coda_
The best pickups are the ones right before the bar closes. Zing!

Members scottgd
Gibson 57 Classics :thu: In my opinion these are the best PU's for a 335 type guitar.
