Members NotDead
So I'm buying a rogue honduran mahogany dreadnought, and our good buddy frank from Tennesse'n is believin' informed me of their $20 off promo code for orders past $100. So, instead of strings or some other thing, I'm getting another guitar with it. Luckily for me, their normal(spruce top) dreadnoughts are marked down to $50. That makes whichever of these beauties I pick: $30 Black or Natural? Johnny cash or everybody else? Vote!

Members NotDead
Natural and then put stickers on it. No stickers, not my thang. I MAY paint or etch or even inlay it(when I get around to learning that), but no stickers.
Members Stackabones
How about woodburning?
Members NotDead
Maybe. It'd be limited to a lighter and paperclip-type operation, but maybe I could get something artistic out of that... Maybe take it down to a tattoo parlor, have them tattoo it, that'd be a funny story. Members NotDead
haha! I have a shirt with an acoustic on it and that phrase! I wore it to a RATM concert and everyone wanted it. I got offered $50. Not bad for a shirt I got for $1. I still kept it just because I love it.
Members Samilyn
I voted for natural, but some inlay work on a black git might be nice if ya like a bit of bling.

I was thinking a black pearloid, tortoiseshell, or b/w/b or b/w/b/w/b guard could be nice on black just for a start as some bling.... Then move with whatever may match... Members Tag
What would Woody do? Ahhhhh, nice one! I'd go for black personally. All the other guitars you currently or will probably own will likely be natural...

Members OldGuitarPlayer
What would Woody do? Woody didn't use bridge-pins either! :poke: Personally I'd have to go with the natural finish. The only other finish I like on acoustic guitars is sunburst. Members kimona
Black guitars look nice... but what a nightmare keeping them clean. I'd go with natural. Too bad they don't have a nice sunburst.

Too bad they don't have a nice sunburst. I'm not very anal about keeping my guitars clean. Don't need shiny strings or a glossy flawless finish 24/7. Sunburst is ugly(IMO) on these, and $20 more. Members Fred Fartboski
If it's any indication, the finish on the black Rogue spiders are really nice. Looks like the black dread has a bound fretboard, too.

Members Bryan Connolly
I got the black finish and the finish did some weird peeling in places. All in all it's a great guitar but I almost wish now I'd gone with the natural.

Just what the music world needs..... another man in black. Well, I guess that'd be okay as long as you don't wear a dorky lookin' Zorro hat. Members guildfire
The black guitar is the first step, then the hat, cape, boots etc. That's how Mr. E got started.
