Members kadrocker
I've never had a guitar with a Floyd style trem on it. I have a fender strat with a vintage trem but I don't use it. Also have a Gibson Flying V, but that obviously has a fixed bridge. whats a decent super strat shaped guitar with a Floyd trem. My first thought is an ibanez rg, but I honestly don't know squat about them. I'm not picky about what brand. id love a fender strat with a Floyd but I don't wanna spend that kinda money. Is it hard to convert to one? I would imagine so. Thoughts?

Members badpenguin
RG by a longshot. Play one at a used place or a pawn shop. Just remember, a guitar with a Floyd is different that one without. A LOT different.
Members DeepEnd
Used is fine. Just need guidance on what to look for in Craigslist. . . . A search for "floyd" turns up three or four guitars on your local CraigsList. There's a Jackson and a couple of Peaveys for $300. I have no experience with Jackson but Peavey makes a decent guitar for the money. All are HH configurations with a Strat style body if that matters. One of the Peaveys is on consignment at JAMusic in Spring Grove so you could potentially try it out along with some others that might be in stock. Members kadrocker
As long as I have a bridge humbucker, I'm good. Any other pickups are a bonus. Did the CL "Floyd" search. Works well- more options than I thought.
