I caught him once opening for the Grateful Dead. It was a heck of show. A few days later, I was shopping at Mandolin Brothers on Staten Island...and who walks in but Steve Miller himself. I thanked him for opening his set with one of my favorites, 'Kow Kow'. He thought about buying an old 335, but passed. Stan (the owner) got a picture with him anyway.
