Guthrie Govan. Not only is his vibrato fantastic, he can slide up the neck and bend a note up to perfect pitch, then finish it off with interval perfect vibrato.

All true. But he's still named Guthrie...

Tons of guys have great vibrato. It's a unique thing that I don't view as "better or worse". Players just have their own voices...and like singers...some I like, some I don't.

        Quite true. What about women?

lol...yeah..bad choice of words ....I often use the word "guys" gender neutrally to refer to a group of people, for some reason....but yeah...plenty of fantastic female guitarists with amazing vibrato as well.

like the sultry breath of a lover in your ear during the throes of passion.

The breath of my lover in my ear is more like sustained machine staccato than vibrato.

On a similar vein - Derek Trucks

Paul Kossoff for pure awesome tone. Simply incredible and my favourite guitarist.

SRV's fingers did some amazing stuff - he could wring so much sustain out of that nasty old partscaster ().

Another vote for Freddie King. He used it heavily in every song and it was the best I've ever heard.
I don't play a lot of fancy guitar. I don't want to play it. The kind of guitar I want to play is mean, mean licks.
