"Polite" the way I'd put it. Swapped in Gibson P90s and it's a beast.

That said, if you like a thinner body and brighter sound, this MM w/P90s should fit the bill nicely.

I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has had different results.

Bummer... I will try my local GC in a couple days. If not, maybe I'll just have to go with SamAsh!

I recommend calling back and speaking with a different CSR. There were a number of people who got that PM approved, see the December "Great Deals Thread" for evidence.

I made out like a bandit, thanks to a very cool HCEG'er...I got the Gloss Yellow P90 Special, killer guitar, flawless and light....I also scored a satin white/ebony board LP junior regular 1958, I am having a blast with these two guitars...oh yeah I also scored a ebony Traditional Pro for $1,074.00 + tax from GC, awesome guitar.

I think the price on Melody Makers is going to drop further,

and they havent had their true "blowout" yet.

PM worked for me...bummer, though...after all the bitching in the forum, followed by a slew of successful pricematch requests, I was starting to think M123 was past playing games with their customers

So what's the M123 pm these days? Still pawning off their funny-money or do they actually cut the price like they used to?

I picked up the satin cherry MM from M123 for $360 in Nov. I am liking it a lot more than the regular LP Jr (gloss with dog eared P90). It's bright with the BM fb, but sounds pretty good when used with a Vox or lot of FX

MF were the ones with the e-cert PM. M123 has always been a straight discount.

Anyone own the melody maker and les paul jr special? Seems like pretty much the same guitar, except for the bridge
