Thats up to them, Ive just been collecting everything I can off the web. After the side is up, I might try to get some kind of FTP thing going. We really do need a good resource like that. Service manuals are especially hard to find.

The best thing I ever did was open a Yahoo group for the Moog MG-1, where I scanned my own users manual and posted it online for anyone free. The best part about this is I have now put the ebay jerkoffs out of commission who try to sell the manual for like, 20 bucks! I used to get tones of thank you e-mails for that, and to me the most rewarding thing is having someone appreciate your efforts. All manuals should be free.

Maybe a sticky should be set for synth manuals.

Damn straight, service manuals too. Im looking for service manuals for all my synths...hell Ill even buy them just to scan and put on on the site. Anyone who loves a keyboard enough to maintain a 10 year old product the company could give a {censored} about deserves as much free aid as possible to help keep it runnin, IMO.

One thing to note, however: some companies may not look kindly on it because they still make money *selling* the service and user manuals. some may turn a blind eye to it, but there are a few out there (like one that starts with a capitol R) which might actually litigate over it..

I think its an excellent idea, but there is probably a reason no one has actually tried to do it.

I think is agood idea to get all the people on ebay that have downloaded manuals from the internet to go out of business.

Ofcourse there is still some companies that want to make money on their service manuals but the larges companies offer them for free.

In my opinion these thing should be free because you want to make money by selling the instrument and not the manuls.

I have started to donate my soundfiles and manuals to Awake 77 and I think that buy doing this a lot of people are going to be very happy.

So please share your soundfiles and manuals.

Peace:D

I have user manuals for all my synths except the Oddy (& I can get one online), but service manuals are another matter. The one I really want is for the SK30, & while Yamaha have user manuals online for pretty much every instrument the've ever made, service manuals don't seem to be available.
