    Jack Bruce (not a bad bass player himself), once said he thought J.S. Bach would've been the greatest bass player of all time. He certainly wrote some great bass parts.

    My top 3 would be Geddy, Chris Squire, & Jon Camp (Renaissance), but I'd also include Jaco, & Jack Casady (Jefferson Airplane).
