Members flat earth
Anyone recommend a fairly cheap CV to Midi converter (or kit). Looked at the Kenton pro solo, but a bit pricey, unless i can find a used one of course. I'd like to use it with my Sigma, and possibly the Trident (although this can only work with the brass section i beleive, unless anyone knows otherwise) Thanks
Members girevik
MOTU's new Volta might be a possibility, unless MOTU decides on a ridiculous price - if you have an audio interface with DC-coupled outputs. And of course you're willing to have a computer involved. http://createdigitalmusic.com/2009/01/16/analog-meet-digital-motu-volta-connects-the-mac-to-cv-synths-effects-graphically/

Members ElectricPuppy
You want CV -> MIDI? Or MIDI -> CV? (I assume the latter, but your query makes it sound like you want to take CV and make MIDIs. )

Members ElectricPuppy
Hm. I've never needed CV to MIDI, so I don't know what's available. For MIDI to CV, though, there's probably a lot of moderately-priced () options. I've only ever used this, though.

Members THE_baldrick
Those are all MIDI > CV, though I'm pretty sure that's actually what Flat Earth means as neither of the keyboards he mentions have MIDI CV > MIDI is pretty rare (though my BassStation Rack has it...). Members deadvolvo1
For the Sigma and Trident I believe you need Hz/V. There aren't a lot of good cheap options that I know of, i.e. may find tuning difficult if not impossible due to poor voltage regulation or sensitivity to environmental factors. http://www.doepfer.de/mcv24_e.htm If you can find one, that should take care of your MIDI to CV needs for quite some time.
