Members c_corie
I found some older Polk Monitor 11s at goodwill and those are not only big, but staying in my room cause they sound great-and are big. I then picked up some monitor 10s (slightly smaller) and I don't really have any room for them in my room( they were cheap as well what can i say, i buy stuff), and was wondering if they'd make a good monitor?(hell the're called monitors, haha) I usually use KRK V4s but those are a bit small and light on bass, and sheer loudness. Should i move the monitor 10s downstairs and try them as "b" monitors?

I was in a studio that had a boom box they could hook up and check mixes with. That and a little shelf system in the lobby the could patch to also. They did this once they were about done to double check things.
Members locust tree
i'd say go for something a little more lo-fi for a set of B monitors. We incidentally had a pair of huge Polk Audio speakers acting as monitors in a B studio I worked in, a room we used mainly for editing. As far as mixing goes it was one of the most miserable monitoring situations I've ever encountered:p
