Well the word is in from the main mods, we should have an official reviews section up and running before too long, on the main User Reviews page of HC. The review forms will be structured a lot like the other instruments, but will be tailored for drums and percussion of course.

We are using the guidelines I had previously posted in the "Why the hell..." thread and should have sub-sections for each of the following: Drums, Cymbals, Hardware, and Accessories.

I am waiting on more correspondence with the mods, but I will post all future news here too. We are finally getting some decent status here at HC.

Frankly I think user reviewing drums is somewhat of a joke. I has my drum hit it go boom! Etc..

I'm sure that some useful info will make through though. Nice work.

Thats what the forms are for, so its structured at least. I doubt idiots will take the time to fill one out.

Yeah I guess so. Says an Administrator has to approve the submission as well. Hmm if they can establish the differences between various high end drums it'd be worth the read.

I'm new here and specifically joined because I needed good info on percussion/drumming. So, I'm stoked....bring it!

Is this the drum forum? Rum...you told me this was the scrapbooking class...I brought glue and everything...

Welcome to the paradiddle pavilion, Ehko!

Good on ya Merlin for doing the legwork. But I've found that about 90% of the time, user reviews end up being cheering podiums for the latest thing that the "reviewer" bought.

Nobody wants to think or admit that they made a wrong purchase or the item they have is not the greatest for the price paid, so it's easy to ignore the possible failings of new gear, at least until you've lived with it for awhile. A lot of it is simply over-excitement at getting something new.

I take all internet user reviews with a very large grain of salt.
