  1. Many years back, a very dear female friend had a messy bustup with her boyfriend, who walked out leaving all his stuff behind. After several months of trying to get his clothes and records out of her house (collected either by him or a duly designated representative of his), she served notice on him that everything would now be up for grabs. Among the stuff he'd left behind was a bunch of leather jackets ... just my size, heh. I picked out the coolest one ... and I still have it, and wear it. Because we moved in the same social circles, it was only a matter of time before we bumped into each other while I was wearing the jacket in question. He eyed it up ... but didn't say a word. Now ... if he'd been a guitarist ... Direct answer to the OP: nope, never have, never would. Not even a cable. I have, however, pocketed the odd pick found on the stage after gigs ... but you'll never take me alive, copper.
  2. Liked their first album a lot -- but lost touch with 'em since. Y'arriba, etc.
  3. Bo Diddley's Road Runner. Prolly the very first pickslide epic.

  5. . A lot of people don't know it but strats and teles were designed for country and western music. True ... with the Strat's wigglestick as a means of faking pedal steel licks. And Les Pauls for jazz.
  6. The RI's are very nice. I would prol' take a RI over a typical vintage 70's strat. The highway one strats also have a nice 70's "vibe" without the price tag. Most of the modern RIs are better-made instruments than most of the originals.
  7. No hard-and-fast rule in my experience -- as your attorney, I'd advise you to make each decision on a piece-by-piece basis, depending on whether or not any individual instrument happens to appeal to you. You know -- the usual. Jeez, it's so BORING being a Voice Of Reason when we all know that forcefully-expressed dogmatic prejudice is the way to go ...
  8. So assuming you buy one, find premises and get the training necessary to be able to use it properly, how many jobs will you have to do before you start showing a profit?
