Don't worry Gegg&H; that's more than enough information. I had no idea that it was this bad, but if anyone here has anything to say in IndianScouts defense they haven't stepped up to the plate and I don't think they are coming. I'm going to put everything that I have seen or been told about this whole ordeal out in the open right here and right now so that there is no question about why this or that has been done. This really is kind of sad because not only has someone been put out by someone here; it was by someone who was a respected Hall of Fame Member of this forum and with that there is some prestige and a sense of trust that goes with it. I mean thousands of posts and a supposedly good reputation is enough to let your guard down and think that the transaction will go safely and smoothly. That obviously isn't the case here. I asked all parties involved (especially IndianScout) to have good or bad trades involving him posted in this thread so that we would get an idea of what was going on. He sent me a list of some good trades he had, but I told him (as I told everyone else that thrashed me about not putting him on the bad traders list) that it had to be in this thread and posted by the other person to be used for the list (no self promotion). This has been a few weeks now and this is the only post that has been made in regards to him in this thread. It was also brought to my attention by a few others that they were reluctant because they were still hoping that he would come through for them; posting here would surely have killed any chances of that. It's sad because I've been in that situation before and it's almost like being held hostage; if you call him out for his actions then you risk angering him and losing any chance of getting your stuff. Now IndianScout has been pretty good about trying to keep me in the loop with his corrective measures have been and I was really hoping that he would be able to make things right and make everyone happy, but someone made a very good point about this whole thing. If someone goes back and tries to make things right after the fact does that mean that the person is a good trader now and that the transaction is in fact a good experience? That's a pretty good point if you ask me. I mean if someone donated money to an orphanage every month, then beats the crap out of a kid in the school yard one day and then buys him a lollipop is the beating forgiven? Did it not happen? Not one of my best analogies, but I think that you get the point. It really does appear that the only reason why any of his actions to fix things were made was because he was called out by a number of people that weren't happy with him in another thread. That right there sends up a red flag, but I was pretty damn firm about my stance in not doing anything to the list without a factual post involving a party of the trade over here. Well I got a very informative and thorough post here and I have no doubt that officially putting IndianScout on the bad traders list is the right thing to do. I don't have any doubt that IndianScout has had good dealings with people in the past and I am not interested in trying to find out what parts his personal struggles in life may have played a role in some of this...I only know that in this specific case he has been reported as a bad trader and it was done after he had been given time to work things out. I also don't think that this is the last of the posts about his trading history. It sounds like a lot of bullying to me which isn't a good way to do business. I will concede that he was attacked (and yeah, some of those comments made to him were out of line and offensive so I thought that he was justified to make some outbursts at times), but when it came down to brass tacks on issues concerning trades and deals he came off as someone who doesn't belong on a good traders list. Now just remember that the bad traders list isn't a prison sentence; it's just like e-Bay feedback. If someone gives bad feedback it doesn't mean that you can't ever deal with them or that they are a bad person; it's just a report of a bad transaction that occurred. I am really hoping that we can leave personal attacks and stuff out of this and move forward.

the fairest scenario???, when I had 40+ transactions that were never even listed on the other list.. to me it makes the list invalid and pretty much worthless.. no offense.. None taken, I have more than a few that never got reported either and unless someone posts them in here I won't be able to count them; it's the only fair way to do it. It isn't perfect and it is based entirely on people taking the time to share their experiences. With that said I'm going to ask politely that the discussion on this particular topic not end up taking this thread over; it was a real pain in the ass to get this set up to begin with and I'd hate to have it cluttered more than it needs to be with discussions. I got my first taste of managing this sucker today and I understand why steve_man bailed on it; it's a frickin chore. Please don't make it harder than it has to be. Post the outcome of the situation in here and I'll be more than happy to update the list accordingly. And no, I am not going to put IndianScout on the bad traders list until at least a week or two has passed and there has been a reasonable amount of time to hash things out and let people cool off for a few days. I know what the situation is and I can see the points made, but I am no judge and I don't want to be put in a situation like that. If things are still screwed up in a few weeks then it's a no brainer; I just don't want to be rash on blacklisting anyone here. This isn't a threat or even a suggestion, it's just what I am going to do based on my opinion of the whole deal.

I don't care about that list anyway, 3/4 of all my transactions were never reported to that list in the first place..Well then that's great for you. Just so that you know you weren't officially placed on the bad traders list (which is why I moved it to a seperate post), you just aren't on either one. I wanted to explain what had happened to your name for everyone who was interested; including you. Perhaps I should have just PM'd you now that I think about it, but there were some other people that were interested as well. ...and this wasn't something that I came up with on my own, it was brought up and discussed and we thought that this would be the fairest scenario until things are resolved.

All right, there has been one person reported/verified so far that somehow got missed in the transition from the old thread. In the interest of accuracy I am going to try to fix any mistakes and get the entire thing done. However, I am not going to check everyone individually because I don't get paid enough, but you should know what your rating should be. If it is wrong, open one of the original threads in the first link and do a search for your name (as text, not by username) to see how many feedbacks you've gotten. Copy that link and send it to me in a PM and I'll fix it. Just remember that if you've got +4 as a rating that is actually 5 positive feedbacks; the first one is counted when your name is posted.

EDIT: 07Dec09 In the interest of fairness I thought that I should let people know that I have had several members send me PM's verifying good trades with IndianScout in the past few months. I cannot officially add them to his tally because they aren't posted in this thread; even though I asked them nicely to do it. I have no idea why not, but I bet that it has a lot to do with the attacks that are all but guaranteed to happen. To the best of my knowledge IndianScout has sent out all the items he was supposed to and reimbursed one member for some damage or compensation. Does all of this make up for or nullify the events? Does it mean that the trades are now good? Does it mean that nothing ever happened? How does everyone involved feel after the trade? I don't know and that isn't my job to decide; the list reflects what is reported. I did think that it was important for everyone to know what the latest status was and then you can make your own decisions based on the account of events. But just remember that even if someone has 245 good transactions doesn't mean that something bad couldn't happen either. The list is a tool and nothing more, do with it what you want. Let the parties involved work out what they can and let them determine if they are happy or not by posting it in here...or not posting anything which would count as nothing. I am aware of the situation and it will be resolved one way or another by the people that have something at stake in it. I just think that it was a matter of bad timing for me to take over the thread right when this situation came up and I don't feel that digging through 30 pages of name calling in another thread is appropriate for me to make my own decision. That's not being an unbiased participant; it's passing judgment which illegitimzes the whole thread.

I bet that there are only a few companies that actually make the core to manufacturer's specs and then ship out big ass spools of that to be wound at the factories. If that was the case then you could kind of see where only a few companies really make the string material, but they are assembled elsewhere. I could also be very wrong, this is just my logic working, which rarely does work right.
