  1. I have a school friend that has been the biggest RUSH fan since our High School days in the late 70's. He purchase a white Gibson double neck back in HS. He had some kind of job working on a farm during the weekend, but to me 1000 dollars back in the late 70's, might as well have been 100,000 dollars. I had a chance to play his Gibson double neck many times. It was very nice, however it weighed a ton.

I believe he sold it many years ago. If I was to hit the lottery this weekend, I will purchase a signed one for him. and deliver it to his home in  the southern Berkshires.

  2. It would have been even cooler if Ibanez had pick up options like the lipstick ones, the P90's and the humbuckers, instead of just going with a tele and strat style lay out. The originals for the 90's had some cool metallic color option too. The necks on the old ones were very comfy and fast. as are most Ibanez guitars are. Maybe down the road there will be more pickup options and a bigsby option.

  3. Sam Bush is an amazing mandolin player. Many decades ago, after playing the guitar for a few decades, I purchased a mandolin and started working out on the mandolin pretty much on a daily basis, along with the guitar.

There's a festival in town here called the Fresh Grass Festival, and it features some really top-notch bluegrass acts from around the globe. I have played the festival a few times myself, even though I don't consider myself a traditional bluegrass player. Ten years ago there were many 500 people at Fresh Grass, and ten years later there must be 5000 or more that attend.

Sam Bush has played Fresh Grass before, and I have seen the Osborne Brothers, The Punch Brothers Del McCoury, Scott Avett, The Avett Brothers, Greensky Bluegrass, Pat Flynn, and Sierra Hull. Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn, and countless others. Ricky Skaggs was this year's Fresh grass featured artist, but he had a torn muscle in his right arm. I was a bit disappointed, but whoever they got to as a mandolin player for Kentucky Thunder was no disappointment.

Sounds like an awesome Film/ DVD
