  2. Man, what happened? HCBF is dead! I haven't been here in a while, I know, but I'm dumbfounded at finding the TK thread on the first page of the forum when nobody has even posted on it in a week!!! WTF people? Also, not one single thread on Osama bin Laden? Seriously? What's going on around here? I'm extremely disappointed...
  3. And now we're un-stickeyed? Make up your minds, people!!!
  4. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World was awesome. First of all, the protagonist is a bassist in a bad-ass band. Second of all, the whole movie takes place in Toronto. Third of all, it's probably the most original idea for a movie I've seen in over a decade. Fully recommended for your viewing pleasure.
  5. I really hate when Life comes by and gives you a punch in the gut, and then, when you're doubled over in pain, creeps up behind you and gives you a swift kick in the ass for good measure. I think they call that the Double Whammy.
  6. Hey, when did we get stickey-ed?
  7. Alright then - to eBassist it is!!! Hey, they do have TK thread there, don't they?
  8. HC went to hell. In the midst of months of decay, you missed the fine institution that was the smarmy photochop thread. I rarely come back here. Come to ebassist. :poke: Allan deleted my eBassist account so I don't feel welcomed there. See you on Facebook instead. Everybody add me if you haven't already: jsigal@gmail.com
  9. {censored} THE SYSTEM! Do I have to buy it dinner first?
  10. Well they "upgraded" everyone left. They realized that the "upgrade" made lots of people leave. They brought the old form back. Few came back. I stop by here from time to time, but not like I used to. There are other places that most people went... Sad. It's the end of an internet era.
  11. Good. The TK is an institution! What the hell happened to everybody else?
  12. Oh! Are we still posting in this thing?
  13. Sometimes I can really get behind that whole 'silence is golden' thing, and I don't even have kids yet...
  14. Weird week. My cousin's soon-to-be wife went into early labour and had a baby the day before her brother's funeral (he died of an overdose). The funeral was very strange for many reason, but most of all because I got to use the phrase, "Congratulations, so sorry for your loss," when I spoke to their mom. Strange day. The paparazzi didn't help the situation either...
  15. Welcome home, Bonoman. Thanks. I never really left - I just got ruined by marriage.
  16. I don't want to go to bed yet.
  17. I saw Guns n' Roses last night. It was okay, not fantastic. I think it would have been a lot better had Axl not waited until 11:30 to finally go onstage. Luckily I booked today off work as a vacation day because the show didn't end until 2:00 and I didn't get home until 3:00. It was ridiculous that he went on so late. About a third of the audience left at 1:00 because the subway stops running at 1:20 on weeknights. And you just know that he does it on purpose, just to be a dick. It pisses me off. Still, not a horrible concert, but not great enough to be really worth the exhaustion. I'd been at work since 8:15 that morning and I stayed late to make sure I had everything in place for when I wasn't there today. I'm pretty sure I was the only person at the concert in a suit. I got looks.
  18. Wow, with the somewhat migration to ebassist, this TK looks like it's been a little neglected. Um... Did I miss something? I know the forum was down for a while, but I've been killer busy and haven't had a lot of free internet time (new job, married life, sick grandmother, etc.). So, what's going on? Who migrated to eBassist and why? I hate when I miss the internet drama...

No matter how many times I hear Lug play, it still causes that little bit of vomit to work its way up my throat, and it won't go back down. I spit it out and half expect it to wiggle its way south towards Texas - Craigv / many were making fun of Lug....so I asked for a sample of his work, got an MP3 and played it..I am still trying to get rid of the locusts that suddenly appeared raining in my home, the boils on my skin and bleeding from my rectum has almost healed. Though my entire family is completely blind now, those that did not commit suicide are doing better...though the dreams never stop. William Hung??.........forget it. Lug has no equal. - kmrumedy / If you establish a new religion for the masses called Suckiness you will be their Messiah and that .MP3 shall be their bible. Your powerful Suck never was more justified - Tivorosky / There are no words in any language, living or dead, that can even begin to describe this. - Mudbass upon stumbling across my nastier MP3's / The King of Suck has Überpowers that even a moderator can't beat. -JazzAd, Mod / Lug's tone is so unique you can smell it - bigbottomline ... i use his mp3's everytime i need to unclog the sink... most power suck around!..megadan / the total lack of taste and just about anything interesting makes your song so powerfully terrible that it truly deserves to be on a porn movie starring Mrs Packman at age 95 - evilnightrime / I remember once in my maths class we were doing logarithms, except the lecturer's writing was dodgy and it looked like lugarithms. I laughed inwardly but deep down I knew that such a thing was a contradiction in terms - FreestyleIntruder / Lug, even your signature sucks. - Banta / It feels dirty, like listening to lug mp3's...Incubitabus / Lugishness: The act of wishing to be the most unworthy of praise, to want to be the worst at something, to drain the life out of whatever activity one attempts, to suck. - ModmanQ6 / Hunt for popcorn (a well known Lug MP3) moved my bowels quicker that a 4 quart enema and a spanking from a 200 pound midget. - Koz / I think lug managed to impliment the black plague in his MP3. As soon as I turned it on, I started getting black tumors all over my groin & neck and knew the end was near... The Ox / Lug is the only person capable of offending an entire genre of music with a single note. - NineMinuteNap / Lug is the only person who can turn a SansAmp into a SansTalent. - Takeout / Had Pharaoh *still* refused to let the Israelites go, God would've unleashed Lug's playing as the 11th and no doubt final plague. - Emprov / I feel I need to clarify. Trust me, EVERYTHING is worng with lug's playing. He is the King Of Suck. The briefest of exposures to his MP3s has been known to turn animals off their feed, cause grown men to weep like new-borns, is suspected to have effected the mortality rates of the armadillo, and has left mikgag with a turkey baster permanently lodged in his brain. Heed the warning, do NOT listen to lug's playing...You have been warned. - Basshunter / Oh don't worry, I'm not going to listen to them, I'm going to hold up a bank with them. Some threats are worse than death. - freestyleintruder after downloading Lug MP3's / I just clicked one of those MP3s and my intestines fell out. - milkgag / Lug sucks more then Paris Hilton. - mxpxfan / I listened to the lug mp3. One of my ears tried to leap free of my head - BigBigPeaches / some whinny crap about not being in Lug's signature - basshunter / Oh dear God! The only way I could get the sound of this MP3 out of my head was to fill the blender with rocks and hit frappe. - mudbass ***some whiney crap about being in Lug's sig**** - Bonoman / Its so bad that its on a level far beyond porn funk. - Super_Donut_man
  21. Somehow lug hit 50000 posts and almost none of them are in the TK thread... I just thought that was worth mentioning.
  22. Still alive. Still too busy for words. Love you guys.
  23. Alive, well, and married. Will update later when I get a second to breathe. Coming back from vacation sucks.

I'm off for Vegas in the morning, so I guess the next time I speak to you guys I'm going to be a married man... May God have mercy on us all...

Your gut instinct, yes or no: can you stick it out 50+ years with her and still love her? Because the trust thing and your general mood about the wedding recently cause me concern. It's normal to have second thoughts before a wedding. But listen to your instinct. I chose to overlook some warning signs before I got married, and it's made for some really excruciating times down the road. Well, you've known me for a few years and you knew me when I was very single, so I'm sure you know that 'settling down' isn't exactly my natural state, but that said, Red is the best thing that ever happened to me. I think that we're both just going through stress overload right now and that has led to some strain and strangeness. I know she feels bad about opening the letter and I'm pretty sure she'll never do anything like that again. I want this wedding, not because I want to be married, but because it really does feel like the right thing to do. She really is my best friend. We are an amazing couple. So even though I'm complaining and bitching and whatever, that's more just venting because of all the outside stresses (family, coordinating the trip for 40 people, money, etc.). But I very much appreciate your concern, my friend. It means a lot. And if I come in here and complain, I would expect you to call me on it like you just did. It's good for me. Helps me to sort out my thoughts and keep them in check. Like the best friend comment above - I've never really considered that before, but now that you made me think of it I realize it's true.
