Not wild about the new tuners but I gotta say the headstock color is an improvement IMHO.

Sweet looking guitar. A college friend had a Cortez back in the mid 70's.

Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom 10-52. D'Addario makes a similar set that I've used in the past. Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze Light 11-52 on acoustic. I play a bit of everything.

I also have only one electric. Mahogany body with what is supposed to be a flame maple top, maple neck, rosewood fretboard.

Not my cup of espresso but I'm not a Strat guy anyway.

I think that was about the hypothetical experience of owning it.

Clearly I'm in the minority but I don't think it looks that bad. Kind of Mosrite's take on an SG.

Past listings on Reverb.com start in the low 4 figures and go up from there. Who knows what you might be able to get for it. I wish I could be more help.

The acoustic forum is pretty dead. I post here occasionally and in the o/t forums but a lot of the time I just don't have much to say.

Well, obviously "cotton candy" makes the sound sweeter.  Seriously, it helps minimize resonances that occur especially in smaller cabs.

Yeah, my home practice amp is an SWR, a brand that isn't even around any more. I find it more than suitable for my humble needs. I'm sure a Fender, Orange, G&K, Peavey, etc. would work as well.
