Members Mister Crow
This popped up on my local CraigsList. Then someone else put up an answer saying they thought it was a copy. The seller says it is a Ibanez/Greco copy, but don't Ibanez and Greco use their own name on the headstock? This guitar says Gibson. Members Scoogs
What the hell.... I personally think it is. The picture at the head stock is conveniently cut off just around the bottom of the truss rod cover. Also, it has that stupid {censored}ty sticker on the back plate of the guitar. Crappy headstock rip off. Fake.
Members maybe_ebyam
It says the headstock was replaced with a Gibson one. But the sticker on the back tells me its a Chinese copy.
Members MrChitlins
Looks like a run of the mill recent fake from china. costs ~$300 new.

Members metalheadUK
Looks like a Chinese fake. Headstock looks wrong, and the Gibson sticker on the control cavity smacks off Fakeness. I have seen Jap copies faked up, but that just looks like a fake...not an Ibanez or Greco. all IMO of course.
Members MrChitlins
Fake./ well, yeah. the question is whether it is a 'vintage' fake
Members Mister Crow
It says the headstock was replaced with a Gibson one. But the sticker on the back tells me its a Chinese copy. It says it's a 'fixed' neck, I think he means it's a set neck as opposed to bolt on. I don't think he's saying the headstock was replaced. Members benricci
WTF? This is just a whole bunch of fail. Each sentence of his post seems to contradict the one that came before it. This is certainly not "decades old" as he claims. Most likely a recent cheap, Chinese knock-off.
Members metalheadUK
It's not vintage.
Members awd83
It says "Gibsun" on the headstock, just like the $200 fakes from China, only a fool would pay $750 for that!
Members Scoogs
I hate these losers that try and pull these kinds of scams. There was a guy on the Toronto CL a week or two ago that had like, 7 or 8 of these fake LP's. Me and a few others called him out, flagged the listings. Now this idiot is left with a handful of {censored}ty Gibson copies.
Members awd83
I wouldn't mind buying one, but no way would I pay that for one, maybe $100, just for a display up on my wall. But anyone should be able to tell it's a fake from the "U" in Gibsun!

But anyone should be able to tell it's a fake from the "U" in Gibsun! I don't think it's a "U". I think the "o" just isn't closed all the way, a lot of real Gibsons are like that. Whoever did the copy, probably just copied that version of the logo. Below is a real Gibson headstock, with the open "O":
Members ArKay
I wouldn't take it for free, no matter what it used to be.
Members GCDEF
It says "Gibsun" on the headstock, just like the $200 fakes from China, only a fool would pay $750 for that! Gibsons typically have an open o too.
Members metalheadUK
Gibson often dont close the "O" in "Gibson". It's about as much use in telling if it's a fake as tickling it with a feather. ALL GENUINE:
Members Funkwire
The pics aren't great (deliberately so, I'm sure)...but you can see the letters and numbers on the back of the headstock are embossed very deep and filled in with black paint. That SCREAMS $300 Chinese fake. $750? The seller needs a long spitbath, and now!
Members _pete_
It's absolutely a Chinese fake. The shape of the headstock is a giveaway. It's too flat across the "open book" part. The knob placement is all wrong also. Greco doesn't screw up like that.
