I already have an AVRI Jazzmaster that I adore, and then a japanese jaguar HH (the all black one) that is ok but not nearly as nice as the jazzmaster (not surprising). I am looking for a second/backup guitar to give me some different tones from the jazzmaster but that is on a similar quality level to the jazz. I got about $1k to spend. Here is what I am thinking: -Keep the Jag HH, use the money to get a 2008 american Telecaster standard. -Sell the jag HH, use the money and the $1k to buy an AVRI Jaguar. -Sell the Jag HH, get a japanese telecaster 72 custom, put the $1k in the bank.
