Members dinostrat Posted July 2, 2009 Members Share Posted July 2, 2009 dont know about rouge acoustics man...my church had one and it totally fell apart within a few months. setup was terrible, output jack and electronics totally came out and failed and the plywood starting to peel back... yea... some people on this forum seem to be fans of rogue stuff though so get more takes on them. Members John Backlund Posted July 2, 2009 Members Share Posted July 2, 2009 I've bought some really cheap guitars in my time, and more than a few electrics off of ebay, but I'll NEVER buy an acoustic guitar sight unseen for any amount. I just bought a new $129 Epiphone dreadnaught from a local dealer, but the guitar sold itself to me after I had taken a good look at it and played it a bit. It sounded ok and didn't cut my hands with jagged fret ends. It's hard to justify buying a very cheap guitar if the 'deal' is compromised by the additional cost of tetanus shots after playing it. My suggestion would be to go to a Pawn shop and play all the cheap acoustic guitars they have. Find the one you like most and offer them about 60% of what's on the tag.
