If you teach, let HC know!

To make sure the thread stays on track, discussion regarding teaching/teachers should be posted in the

Official Guitar Teacher Thread.

Every post must follow the format used. Just copy, paste, and fill in your info where appropriate. Please keep rates and personal info (like home phone numbers) to private discussion.

Use "Styles" as a catch-all, or to note things you DON'T TEACH.

Use "Specialities" to specify things you consider your strongest and/or preferred areas of teaching (stylistically and technically).

If you ONLY teach fingerstyle Jazz, for instance, you can use either one. If you are willing to teach whatever, but like teaching Progressive Rock Guitar and touchstyle, use both categories.

Use "Other" for anything you want to mention not covered by the other categories.

I'll start us off.

Lessons are out of my home studio, generally 30 minutes. I'm not technology-challenged, so internet lessons are a possibility.

I have played for 20 years and have a degree in Music Education. I'm comfortable teaching guitar/bass/theory for beginning to intermediate levels.

I mainly play classic rock, but I am able to teach blues/rock/acoustic/fusion/progressive and soloing.

I found the link to this site on the HC front page a couple weeks back. It's an awesome resource and tool for anyone looking for lessons online. I am pretty hooked and would like to share the find.

www.workshoplive.com

Tons of different teachers, replayable lesson videos, tons of topics covered. If you are considering lessons online you must check this place out. Only $30 bucks a month for unlimited access to their database of video lessons.
