One of the biggest mistakes invented in the history of music. Except maybe that 5 foot tall Sears Silvertone amp that the Partridge Family used in all their shows. That amp was 5 feet tall and weighed something like 2 pounds. What was in that thing anyway? One transistor and a power cord? I mean, that really made my skin crawl. I think everything used was an Ovation of some sort. Ovation Amps... the sound of rock. Danny pumping out a bass solo through his stack.
