Hi there,

I picked this up yesterday: it is a 'Del Ray Fab 12,' costs about 1/8th the price of a Ricky 360/12 (although I think it looks more like a 330/12). I don't think Teisco Del Ray is still in business, so someone must've bought the name. I can't find any information anywhere; it's as if someone had knocked these guitars off in their basement or something.... lolz....

Anyways, this guitar plays well, sounds good, stays in tune, is properly intonated, 2 octave fretboard, set neck, and probably has just enough differences between it and a real Ricky to avoid a lawsuit against the manufacturer. All for

Some sweat shop in Asia

Korea, to be precise. At 1/8th the cost of a real Ricky, I am somewhat unapologetic about my purchase. Almost all of my guitars are made in the US, Canada, or Germany, though.

Cheers,

Glenn

There are some great guitars made in Korea. Peerless makes stunning models, Unsung is great as well.
