Members texas twelve
I have been looking for an electric guitar for about 4-6 months. I have narrowed it down to an LP copy. I don't have the bucks for the real deal, so I am looking at rondos lp copies, the agile line, the guitarfetish xavieres, and the epiphone copies. Which one do you have? Do you like it? Would you rec. it to others? And yes, I have used the search function, and read what is there so far. I just wonder is any have actually played the ones listed above, or any mixture of them. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Members Slave2TheAudio
Looks like you are right on track. I would reccomend: Agiles and Xavieres. As far as the finish goes, that's up to you. Have fun and post pics when you decide!
Members texas twelve
I would like to keep it under $350. I usually play acoustic, and will probably only play it out a few times a year.
Members Woody_in_MN
I have been very happy with the overall quality of my Rondo Agile AL-2000 Honey Burst. The PUP's are a bit hot - but I like them that way. Price is around $210 shipped. - W
Members Mr. Fahrenheit
Definitely go for the Agile. If you can spare the extra cash, get an AL-3000 or an AL-3100. They're really worth it.
Members Vintage55
Either an Agile or Xaviere would be a good guitar. I've owned both and liked the neck on the Xaviere better, since it is a bit wider, but Agile has models with wider necks. However, rather than go from 1 5/8" at the nut to 1 11/16", they jump to 1 3/4". While it may seem that a 1/16" of an inch can't make much difference, it certainly does. Members Roy
check out vintage matsumoku-made LP copies. some are crap, some are stellar. I think my '74 electra blows the doors off my Gibby for around $350.
Members twofoolsaminute
I've played an Xaviere. And it was a nice instrument in every way, but I'd rather have an Agile just because it has more of a Les Paul vibe as far as looks. You get more for your money with the Xaviere, though. IMO. Members vintage clubber
you should be able to find a decent used epiphone les paul for $350. For what it's worth I picked up a brand new Eleca LP copy a few years ago for under $200 and probably spent another $150 modding it and it's definately a keeper. Members dcooper830
My favorite is Epiphone. So that's what you should buy.
Members Bro Blue
I have both an LTD EC 400VF and a EC 1000VF Deluxe. Both are very nice, and the quality is astounding for the price. The resale values for ESPs and LTDs is not that great (and I have no idea why) so you can get them used and in good shape pretty cheap.
Members Woody_in_MN
When I was looking for a lower priced replacement for my Gibson Studio, I considered Epi's. But people want around $350+ for a used Epi. I pop'ed for the Agile and have not looked back. - W
Members texas twelve
I really appreciate all of the replies and recs. Thanks a lot! I am leaning' toward the agile, but I have to admit those xariere hollowbody lp's look really good to me.
Members Guitar Heel
check out vintage matsumoku-made LP copies. some are crap, some are stellar. I think my '74 electra blows the doors off my Gibby for around $350. I was wondering what that thing was. I think I saw it a few days ago beside another guitar that you were talking about. Pretty interesting guitar.I'll second looking to 70's MIJ's for a good LP copy. You could also check out some of the lower end Grecos as well, though I'm still not sure that would put you in Agile territory, price-wise.Good luck! Members Karma1
I bought a used Jay Turser Les Paul goldtop copy to use as a back up/beater guitar, and I've been very impressed with it for the money. I eventually upgraded the pickups and it sounds great.
