Members KightTemplar
I saw an used, almost vintage-white Yamaha SG200 (or seems like it) today and tried it. It is in near-mint condition, and sounds good. Also, it is neck through. But what bugs me is that the headstock has no Yamaha written on it, just the artwork. Thus I thought it was a fake. But the tuning pegs clearly says "Yamaha JApan", and the back of headstock reads MAde in Taiwan and the serial number starts with letters "LK". So I think it still is the real thing despite the lack of brand name on the headstock. In case, is it a real Yamaha? And were some others lack the logo on headstock as this one? And why is that? The asking price is about USD200. And I heard that the Taiwan made SG200 has agathis body instead of Mahogany, correct? MAny thanks!
Members Flogger59
I thought that the 200 was a bolt neck. The 700 and 1000 were set necks, and the 2000 and 3000 were neck through.

The 700 and 1000 were set necks, and the 2000 and 3000 were neck through. I thought so. But it is neck through defenitely. If I get it I will post pics. By the way I supposse it is SG200 because it looks the same with those posted in HC. There's no model name/number anywhere on the guitar. I need more inputs people! Please!
