Members Minnie The Moocher
I knew about the regular Power Tennies but I bought a single pickup one, from 2004. As a former SG junior player, I'm a bit of a single-pickup guitar's nut, and as much as I love my Brian Setzer Hot Rod, I couldn't pass on such a beauty. The TV jones Powertron is really hot, while retaining this unmistakable Gretsch tone. She comes with Sperzel tuners and the '59 trestle bracing, so it's definitly a rock guitar: I think I'm in love :

Members Citizen Cain
What does the pickup selector do, split the pickup? Or is it a tone switch? Sweet! I was this close to a double pickup Power Tenny a couple years back. I wish I would have extended myself just a bit at the time to nab it.

It's a tone switch - il you watch the video, you'll see how it shapes the tone: I start with the middle position (no tone correction), then I switch to the up position (more mids - a bit honky) and to the down position (bassy and dark).
