I didnt know they made the classic in 75:confused: However I do use a Classic 60/60 poweramp but it was made in the early 90s.

Members Mister Crow
Personally, I'd rather have the more recent Classic 50. I've tried some of the older Peavey's, and I think the newer incarnations of the Classic 50 and Classic 30 sound a lot better. For $275, I'd rather roll that money into a newer one. Yeah, but THIS amp was owned by that Curt Cowbrain dude.
Members Kevman
TheClassic is a solid state preamp with a 6l6 power section. It doesn't have preamp overdrive so much as clipping. Like the Duece of that era it takes pedals like a champ and I think it has reverb (real tank that sounds great) as well as tremolo, I think the Duece had a phaser instead. I had the duece and would probably sink $200 into one if I found one in good condition. I ran mine as a slave to a Marshall preamp and it sounded great.
