Members GAS Man
The Jazz Box color on this one particularly appeals to me. http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Godin-5th-Avenue-Cutaway-Kingpin-II-Archtop-Hollowbody-Electric-Guitar-With-P90-Pickups?sku=584109 $995 Only 16% off of MSRP is a GAS jet cooler though. But probably a viable alternative to the $1,500 Epi Elitist Casino More pics from Elderly
Members GAS Man
I'm guessing this is a "hollow" rather than a "semi-hollow" but I'm not spotting the distinction in the specs. Anyone know fer sher? The specs refer to it as an acoustic guitar, so I'm thinking "hollow". http://elderly.com/new_instruments/items/5THAVECW-BRG.htm
Members Alecto
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a Kingpin (the one-pickup version), so I can tell you it is a hollowbody. It's a laminated top so the acoustic tone will essentially stay the same, unlike a solid-top guitar. So I recommend you play it acoustically first, to see if you like the unamplified tone. I'm too lazy to write out the specs but you can read them here. The Kingpin pickups really bring the vintage P-90 tone; sounds great through a Fender Blues Junior amp. No need to budget for replacement pickups. Slap on a set of flatwounds and you're firmly in jazzbox territory. The only real buzzkill on the 2-pickup model is the lack of a second volume control: you can't mix the P-90's like you can on the Casino. I haven't tried it so I don't know if the two pickups are reverse-wound in the middle position. Godin makes a great guitar; well worth the price. My wife loves her fretless A4. Members bugly
nice - godin generally give good bang for the buck - under rated brand. The fact that Godin term it an archtop would indicate to me the guitar is a hollow body, as does what appears to be a floatiing bridge - but I am often wrong. Members Wulver
Well it's definitely no thinline, so I'd imagine it's full hollow. it's not TOO often you see a deep-bodied semi-hollow. And that sunburst model IS the prettiest guitar I've ever seen, bar none.
Members faberbz
oooh..........that is a sweet looking guitar would love to play that unplugged to feel that tone (assuming it has it)
Members KidEh
It is hollow. I had the chance to get either and I went for the single pickup just because I liked the feel better. Both amazing guitars though.

Members sxyryan
I'd love to pickup the full acoustic model (no pickup). It's about time I upgraded my acoustic, I've had a Washburn D series for a few years now. It's a great guitar for what my parents paid for it (Like $150 new as a graduation present), but I've fallen in love with archtops in the past year and a half or so. But that looks sweet too. Thanks for the offer, but (a) I live in Toronto, Canada and (b) I already have a cognac-burst Kingpin on hold for me.
