  1. Coming from someone who is EXTREMELY picky with music - I liked it. You guys look the part and you covered a song that hasn't been done a million times by a bunch of guys having a mid-life crisis
  2. I think that Kid A is the greatest album of all time. Ditto. Pavement's "Wowee Zowee" is the only album that is close to it in my heart.
  3. The Bends is consistent? Sulk? Bones? Black Star? Not great Radiohead songs in my book. Bulletproof and High & Dry don't do a lot for me either. Kid A isn't a gimmick - the songwriting is incredible and there's not a song on that album that doesn't blow me away. There's an intensity on that album that can't be matched. For me: 1. Kid A 2. Ok Computer 3. Amnesiac 4. In Rainbows 5. The Bends 6. HttT 7. Pablo Honey
  4. While The Bends was the first great Radiohead album, it is a transitional work with a little too much of the goofy pop that plagued PH. Ok Computer was Radiohead's emotional guitar music fully realized. Kid A however, elevated their songwriting to an entirely new level and every track on that album is flawless and perfectly synced. Easily their best album in my opinion. I also think Amnesiac is horribly underlooked. Easily my second or third favorite RH album. Dollars & Cents might be their best song.
  5. I know more adults that like Spongebob than children
  6. Some of us LOVE Jack White. Oh, I'm not saying that everyone here hates him, I'm just saying that most guitar nerds get a false sense of superiority just because he writes mostly simple songs (although I cant see how anyone can hear the album Icky Thump and say he has no guitar chops) and he holds a guitar on stage. Its just like Kurt Cobain - when did being a songwriter that plays guitar automatically mean you have to play it to your fullest ability?
  7. I am seriously embarassed by most (not all6 of the Jack White hate on the boards. Dude is just damn good pop songwriter. It's like this on any guitar forum, where the only modern music that is praised is "throwback" to Zeppelin or AC/DC.
  8. No doubt in my mind Stephen Malkmus is THE greatest guitar musician of the 90s
  9. +1. Damn, I've seen more of this happening the past year or two. Yes, it needs to be said, but the hipster crowd needs to set these down. Well Pavement already perfected this in the 90s so it's no use anyways!
  10. My MIM neck is the best Ive played, the pups aren't very good though
