Members johnkline
I'm thinking about picking up a highway one neck to complete the highway one body I've had for awhile. It's from 2002, and I noticed the pre-2006 neck had two string trees. Anyone know why two instead of the usual one? How are these necks? I've read mixed reviews from lifeless to good.. Members Yogi_Sizzle
Plenty of strats over the years have had 2 string guides, it started in the 70s, and the American Standard/series had them up until a couple of years ago. IIRC its supposed to help the strings break angle at the nut. It doesn't really hurt to have that extra string tree, and the only reason to have just one is to be more vintage correct IMO. Members Mister Crow
I know the earlier necks used Medium Jumbo frets, and for the last couple of years the frets have been Jumbo. For me, I like MJ frets better, Jumbo feel too giant. I'm not sure when they changed, but I believe it's only been the last year or two.

Members flummox
The older ones don't have the rolled edges like the late models do.
