I bought a Fender Custom Classic Strat about two weeks ago, but now I have my eyes on this one.Musicians Friend sells it for $1999 It has different pick-ups, but I don't know anyone who owns one. Members metallica_00 Posted March 2, 2010 Members Share Posted March 2, 2010 Looks like they took the same guitar, put in different pickups, had the winder put her initials on the pickups, and called it a special edition. If you like the way the guitar feels and like those pickups, go for it. I don't really think it's status as a "special edition" makes it any more valuable or a superior guitar. Does not sound much different other than the pickups...which probably are not THAT much different than what you have. If you love the one you've got, I wouldn't worry about it.
