Members DRPool
Reverend Roundhouse, well balanced but solid mahogany and therefore pretty heavy. Nothing too flashy please but something that works with the whole guitar. Most of the crap I see at the local shops are toxic warnings and police tape looking things...no thanks. Members mike42
Levy's wide padded leather. About 40.00 I think from MF. I got a tan one - looked terrible - dyed it down to med brown - looks great, supports the weight well.

Members Selsaral
I got one of the fat bass straps for my singlecut, it really does help distribute the weight. Forget exactly which brand, they're all similar, padded bass strap.

Members etawful
Couch makes some great straps. So does Get'm Get'm http://www.getmgetm.com/straps.htm You can get the get'm get'm ones from Amazon at good prices usually. The corduroy ones are heavy duty, wide and really comfy. Members KGrob
I have several straps but my main strap is wide and soft and a little stretchy. I have no idea what it's made of. I mainly play a heavy Les Paul, by the way, so "wide" = "good" IMO. My guitar sticks where I put it, that is, because the strap fabric tends to stick to other fabric, it's difficult to slide the strap across my shirt once I put it on my shoulder (which is good for me but may not be for others). That might be a consideration for you. Get good strap locks. I use a large wafer kind, inexpensive, but effective. A heavy guitar may increase the chance of your strap coming off. Check your screws/attachments often. Some screws/attachments may work themselves loose occasionally, especially on heavier guitars, and once they get loose, they can really start wearing on your screw/fix point. If you play a lot standing up and if your strap connects directly into the wood via a long screw, it may be worth it to drill out the hole, insert a plastic sheath (glue it in) and then insert your screw directly into the plastic. Members Prages
I'm also a big fan of the 2 1/2" Levy's Suede straps. I've got about 10 of them.

Members EADGBE
You can never go wrong.. Once you go fender strap you never go brack.. Those look good.Try to avoid ones like these. I think they're too weak where the leather attaches to the strap.
Members Superrust
the heavier the guitar the wider the strap. Stick with 3in and over w/padding and you'll be set.

Members Oldskool Texas
Put Bob at Brookwood Leather to work on a custom strap for that Reverend! I've got two of his creations, and they're awesome. He'll work with you to give you exactly what you want, and his prices are exceptional, given that they're handmade. Try one and you'll never go back to mass-produced!http://www.brookwoodleather.com/
