Members Brewski Posted March 8, 2010 Members Share Posted March 8, 2010 since its the second fret what may be happening by the looks of the pics is that the neck is bowing back slightly at the scarf joint due to construction flaw. there are three options for fixing and the first is simple. replace the nut with a one that is a little taller, see if that helps and if not slightly sand the second fret. the other choice is - still plreace the nut but also replace the first fret with a slightly taller one. lastly - send it back.
