Members The Dr!
When I first got one of my guitars I took the neck pup out 'cos it kept cutting out. When I tried to put it back in one of the screws wouldn't go back in all the way and it got stuck. Had to get it out with pliers. That screw is still stuck to a board awaiting the day that I go and get a replacement, but I still haven't. Guess I kinda like the imperfection More importantly, it sounds frikkin' awesome. Maybe that is a factor of the difference of resonance caused by the screw not being there....:poke:
Members docjeffrey
When I first started shopping for a Custom Shop Les Paul (I already owned two Classics), the first thing that struck me was their handmade vibe. Thinner finish, less plasticky-looking lacquer, delicate bindings, thin headstock veneer, everything was thinner, lighter, and more delicate, like a handmade European Sports car. Some people mistake this hand-finished vibe as bad quality control:-) By the way, I get this same vibe from a recent ESP Eclipse that I purchased.
