  1. Hey Jimi, wh-- never mind, I'll just ask the axis.
  2. I've got an acoustic with me in the dorms now. I've played as loud as I could (and even sang) and never received any complaints. There's always "that guy" but for the most part people in college are pretty chill. Next year I'm bringing my electric, but then again I'm living in the music-oriented house next year, where they actually encourage you to crank it! Definitely don't bring expensive gear. Besides getting stolen, you don't want to have someone puke or spill beer on a guitar you've saved years for. Basic rule for playing in the dorms: don't be an asshole and people won't be assholes back. Meaning don't crank it at 2am or during finals week or when your roommate's sleeping. Have fun next year!
  3. Psalm 33:2 Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
  4. Someone said this is like complaining about what people eat. What if they are eating feces? That is what most popular music these days is: shovel the {censored} into the ears and out pops money and fame. They can keep the crap and I'll keep my money. That was me. The thing with {censored} is that we wouldn't want people to eat it because it would make them sick and give them diseases and crap (pardon the pun). I don't think pop music is going to harm anybody. And people eat stuff that smells like crap (look up durian). Who am I to call their taste buds ignorant or stupid?
  5. How 'bout we stop talking about the Grammy's, consider that music taste is SUBJECTIVE, and stop calling other people's music {censored}. It's like insulting people's appetite's for certain foods. Judge not what other eat, lest they eat you.
  6. I'm not really gassin' for any guitars. I wish I knew what this felt like.
  7. Could it be the dry New Mexico climate? I don't know, but I don't want to ever finish that neck. Probably the humidity (or lack thereof). I live in Maine (where it gets REALLY humid) and I had a guitar tech tell me that if you have a guitar with an unfinished neck, it must stay in its case during the summer. Or else.
  8. OBO does not mean "feel free to low ball me for half my asking price". If at any point, you feel like offering half what someone is asking is cool, you suck. It's part of negotiating. And as for offering half the asking price, that's all relative. 10 bucks is a decent offer for a 20 dollar cable or whatnot. True, $75 is very low considering the $150, but the seller was free to make a counter offer/
  9. I think you made a good decision by not taking the deal. I wouldn't want to step foot in that guy's house.
