Members Hotrod Lincoln
Which would you choose and why? Both are listed locally, and I'm interested in both but not sure which would be the better choice
Members Hotrod Lincoln
Noone has a comment on either guitar? I'm thinking the tele is the better option. They are both about the same price, but I have to drive an hour or so for each of them and want to save time if one is better than the other
Members Selsaral
I actually really like both, and yeah they are very similar. Same series, same prices, some concept (upgraded MIM). I already have a MIM deluxe strat, so I'd go with the tele, but if I didn't have either it would be hard to choose.
Members Tupelo Son
The Deluxe has Noiseless pickups....but I'm a tele man, would like to be more of a strat man....tough choice.

Frets99
Having owned both, I love both. I still have the strat and traded the Nashville tele to a friend. The strat has very articulate and bright tones. Very vintagey not hot like Texas hot for instance. The tele has some of the most beautiful clean tones I've heard on a tele. Might lean a little towards the Nashville tele because, it's strat like in it's switching. You do lose a key "tele" setting which is the middle quack of a regular tele but I found that it was more than made up for in the 2 more stratlike quack settings. The Nashville tele sounds like a tele using strat switching.
Members Norcal_GIT_r
I'm more of a tele guy so thats what I'd lean towards.
Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted March 25, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 25, 2010 Seeing as your current Strat is an Affinity, I'd say go for the Strat, sell your Affinity and then got for an Affinity Tele (alder body) which are a very decent guitar. Then contact Bryan ^^^ and get some quality Tele pups in it. Then you'll have a good Strat and a very decent Tele
