Members hazard29
What about clear nail polish? I'm not saying it would work, I'm just asking if it would.. This sounds like a good idea to me!
Members BoneNut
Small piece of lexan or other transparent plastic. Use four small screws to attach over signature, almost like another control cavity cover. I'd even use tiny washers so the plastic doesn't come into contact with the ink. Round the edges and corners with sandpaper. Are a couple of extra millimeters in back going to cramp your playing style? If it gets scratched or hazed by use, it's easy to polish out. You'll be seriously risking the signature if you use anything with solvent in it and if you use something else like perhaps a water based product, it won't hold up to the constant rubbing. Members RaVenCAD
All this drama is why it's ALWAYS best to get the sig on a pickguard or a coverplate. So much easier to take care of.
Members MONGOOZ
well.....i suppose it depends on just how much YOU value that sig.....if it's a LOT.....then the only perfect solution is.....put the guitar up and appreciate it!! problem solved
