Members lewzer
I'm thinking about giving up on in-ear headphones. The noise of the cable rattling against my body is driving me out of my mind. I've yet to try a set of in-ears that doesn't have this problem. I'm really thinking about getting a pair of over-ear headphones instead; preferably noise-canceling over-ears. I'd really like to find a pair that are inconspicuous enough to use with my iPhone when I'm out and about. Does a pair like this exist? Does anyone do this? Members mediocreplayer
Get on-ears if you want to walk around the city instead of over-ears. Suggestion to get you started: Sennheiser 228.

Members Poster Nutbag
I hear ya about the cable noise, some in-ears are really bad..I've been using JVC Gumy headphones with my iPod for over a year now, minimal cable noise and seem to match well with the iPod.. they're like $10 at Best Buy, etc.
Members cratz2
I've never used a pair of small-ish over ear phones that sounded worth a crap so I put up with the cable noise. I have a couple pairs of the Gummy phones listed above... Very decent. I usually use Marshmallows which I love once I get them in properly. I usually use AKG 240 Mk IIs which are pretty open and non-noise canceling. I listen to them so often (usually playing guitar at night or watching a movie at night) that the noise canceling Marshmallows are slightly disconcerting. If you get something and are happy with them, be sure to report back!
