Members GAS Man
My '72 Tele E-string saddle keeps getting lower and lower. The saddle is now resting flush on the bridge. Never seen such a thing before. Should I adjust it back up and put some lock-tite on the threads?
Members drunkinminer
Just get a new saddle screw. If that doesnt work replace the saddle. I would not use Loctite.
Members Wyatt
Hmm, haven't seen it one a Fender, by old brass Tune-O-Matics are famous for collapsing after a while, as can the bridge itself. I don't doubt it happens with Fender as well.
Members GAS Man
Thanks guys. I just found it to be very perplexing. Keep having to tune up. The E string is now rattling against the frets. I haven't played this guitar that much and it was into the shop a while back for a warranty issue for grounding, so I know that guy wouldn't have let it leave his shop without it being set up.Something has caused the saddle to drop. Members IG0R
I've used BLUE locktite on a SQUIER TELE with the same trouble. It worked fine. Just don't overdo it.
Members Metalrulez
Locktite or teflon tape will work to add resistance to a screw thread.
