Are you asking how George or Tony would have sounded if they had played strats or are you asking how close to their tone you could get if you had a strat with P90s in it? Members cratz2 Posted October 31, 2010 Members Share Posted October 31, 2010 Yeah, without playing a strat with P90s vs a Gibson with the same P90 installed back to back, they difference in tone would be pretty minimal. They will both have that characteristic 'elevated mids' tone going on. Of course, the amp will play a tremendous role in how close you can get to their tones.
