Members Faber
I'd like to adjust the neck on my Charvel strat but the rod seem to be absolutely stuck. I'm worried that I could damage it if I'm even more forcefull, so is there a way to loosen up the rod without resorting to brute force?

Put a little 3 in one oil on it.Let it soak and break the adhesions.Don't drown it.
Members TraumaRN
I had the same problem on an older strat I have and the guitar shop would not fix it due to liability issues if they broke it(older Fender) I used PB Blaster penetrating oil from Wal Mart after someone from this forum suggested its use. Sprayed a little down the top of the truss rod- let it sit perpendicular for an hour or so- retreated once more and voila- worked like a charm. I also bought a bigger allen head wrench to apply a little more pressure. Good luck.
