Members coinstarlp Posted April 9, 2011 Members Share Posted April 9, 2011 Ok I lied, no espionage but I do have a question that I'm sure some of you can answer about Schallers. I have a set of store bought (more recently) "Fender" Schallers on a parts strat, and also a set that was original on my 1998 Am. Deluxe. I need one new locking knob for each BUT the threads are completely different. The older tuners have a very long thread and the newer ones are tight. I'm assuming the 1998 has German Schallers and the newer stuff is Ping?. Anyone have any experience buying replacement knobs and know how I can get the ones I need? Thanks.
