Tokai? Good, bad or ugly?

tokai are a funny old company...

 

like a lot of companies you definately cant say that ALL of their guitars are good.

 

some of their guitars are made in japan, some in korea, some in china...

 

their prices range from cheap to very expensive.

 

ps. for what it's worth i love my korean tokai sg:

and some were branded but not really Tokai out of Korea.

If its a LP jr copy, then it wont take much to get it working again. If you know how to plug in a soldering iron, i'm sure you could figure it out.

 

My Tokai strat is one of the best guitars i've ever played. Its an early 80s MIJ, so i'm not sure of their China made stuff, but I've had an eye on the Chinese Tokai gold tops.
